The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul has called on Uzbek citizens in Turkey to increase personal responsibility and strictly adhere to safety rules.

Citizens have been asked to avoid suspicious situations in daily life that could pose a threat to health and life, to refrain from participating in mass gatherings and demonstrations, and to increase vigilance in crowded places.

It is reported that citizens whose legal rights and interests have been violated or who find themselves in a difficult situation should immediately contact the Turkish law enforcement agencies via the short numbers 155 (police) or 156 (gendarmerie), as well as the Consulate General's 24/7 hotline.

It was also emphasized that if a citizen or their relatives are detained or have their freedom restricted by local law enforcement agencies, they have the right to demand legal assistance, inform their relatives, and contact the Consulate General.

"Dear compatriots! Your rights and interests are under state protection!", the message states.

The Consulate General also called for caution against fraudsters who promise to formalize residence documents in Turkey for money, or offer lucrative jobs or visas to the USA and European countries.

Furthermore, it is recommended to avoid using taxi services without official licenses, especially for women and individuals traveling alone.
