The body of a 38-year-old woman who went missing in Samarkand in December has not been found for over 3 months. This was reported by "Millar".
It is reported that the woman may have been killed by a man around 30 years old. According to the deceased's relatives, she left her home that day and did not return. She came home from work, drank tea, and then a male acquaintance took her out under the pretext of resolving a debt issue. Shortly after, her phone turned off and contact was lost.
According to assumptions, following an argument that arose between the man and the woman, the woman was stabbed several times and then strangled to death.
After that, the suspect may have brought the body in a Spark car and dumped it in the area of the Dargom canal. The deceased's relatives suggested that her body might be near the Ravotkhuja area.
Despite more than 3 months having passed, the body has not been found. Local residents said that in such cases, bodies usually surface within 60–70 days, but this time not even a trace was found.
Initially, search operations continued until January 27, then were stopped. On March 25, 2026, the water was temporarily stopped and searches were conducted again, but yielded no results.
According to the Samarkand regional prosecutor's office, regarding this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 97 of the Criminal Code (intentional homicide) and preliminary investigative actions are currently being carried out.
