A woman who attempted to sell her three-day-old newborn was detained in Kazakhstan. The country's Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this.
It is reported that a 23-year-old woman living in the Turkistan region intended to sell her newborn daughter for 800 thousand tenge. She had been looking for a buyer through social networks even in the final stages of her pregnancy.
After police officers documented the criminal intent, they conducted a special operation at the time of the planned handover of the child for money and detained the suspect.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident. The woman has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
The newborn girl has been placed under medical supervision, and there is no threat to her life or health.
