A lawyer in Tashkent region, who promised to change a court verdict, was caught while taking a bribe.
It is reported that the lawyer promised a local citizen to replace the assigned two-year imprisonment sentence with a lighter punishment through his acquaintances.
He was caught red-handed by State Security Service officers while receiving 10 thousand dollars for this "service".
A criminal case has now been initiated regarding this incident, and investigative actions are being carried out. The SSS called on citizens to report such cases via the 1520 hotline.
