In particular, two citizens born in 2001 and 2005 in the Shofirkon district of the Bukhara region were apprehended while trying to sell a non-standard gold alloy weighing 110 grams of pure gold for 17 thousand US dollars. Subsequent inspections revealed equipment intended for melting the gold, precursors, and gas cylinders. According to expert examination, the value of this alloy exceeded 209 million soums.
In another case, at Tashkent International Airport, a citizen arriving from abroad was subjected to a personal search and was caught with gold items with a total weight of 226 grams, worth approximately 290 million soums, hidden under his feet.
A similar case was also recorded in the Andijan region. A citizen living in the city of Andijan was inspected while entering through the "Dostlik" international checkpoint, and it was discovered that he had undeclared gold items weighing 241 grams, worth approximately 400 million soums. It was found that these products were being brought from Turkey via the Kyrgyz Republic.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated regarding all these incidents, and investigative actions are being carried out.
