Ibrahim Zulfagari, a representative of the Central Staff of Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya military command, threatened the US and Israel with "response measures" due to the attacks in the Persian Gulf.
The statement by the Iranian military official was announced by the Mehr news agency.
According to Zulfagari, US-Israeli forces have targeted private vessels and passenger ships in the Persian Gulf.
"Having failed several times and being unable to withstand the strong attack of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the US and Israel are targeting private vessels and passenger ships in the Persian Gulf. If these attacks continue, we will see serious response measures," he said.
Earlier, it was reported that the US and Israel had attacked ships in the Iranian city of Bushehr, as well as passenger and fishing ports.
It should be recalled that on February 28, the US and Israel launched a military operation against Iran. As a result, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several other high-ranking officials were killed. Subsequently, Iran began striking targets in Israel, as well as objects linked to the US and its allies in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, and Cyprus.
