The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and expressed serious concern about the attack.
According to Saidov's statement, during the conversation, his Azerbaijani counterpart provided detailed information regarding the situation related to the attack carried out by unmanned aerial vehicles against the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. It was noted that as a result of this attack, civilians suffered and civilian infrastructure was damaged.
In turn, Uzbekistan expressed its serious concern regarding these attacks. It was emphasized that such actions, which are contrary to the principles of international law and violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of another state, are absolutely unacceptable.

Today, on March 5, an Iranian missile fell on an airport in the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.
Nakhchivan is an exclave of Azerbaijan bordering Iran, Turkey, and Armenia, and is considered a strategically important area in the South Caucasus. If this incident is confirmed, it could have a significant impact on regional security and the political situation.
Following this incident, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement. It stated that one drone struck the terminal building of Nakhchivan International Airport, and another drone fell near a school building in the village of Shakharabad. School students and teachers in the area were evacuated.
Following this incident, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan, Mujtaba Demirchilu, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where sharp dissatisfaction was expressed to the Iranian side and a corresponding note of protest was handed over.
