The Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, the Council of Ulama, and prominent scholars sent a letter to Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of the month of Ramadan.

The letter particularly emphasized that, on the President's initiative, 750 billion soums were allocated to the "Waqf" Public Charity Fund and 300 billion soums through the National Social Protection Agency on the eve of Ramadan, noting that this decision serves to support thousands of needy families.

The ulama also highly appraised the Khatm al-Qur'an ceremonies being held in the country's mosques and the reforms being implemented in the religious-educational sphere, including work aimed at preserving and promoting the Islamic heritage.

At the end of the letter, the ulama congratulated the President on the month of Ramadan and wished him robust health and success in his activities.
