US President Donald Trump signed an order to impose an additional 10 percent tariff on all countries. He announced this on his Truth Social social media page.
According to the President's writing, the decision was signed in the Oval Office and takes effect immediately. He described this step as an important measure in economic policy.
According to White House information, the declaration imposes an import duty on goods entering the United States. The procedure will be implemented from February 24 and will be applied for 150 days.
Previously, the US Supreme Court had found tariffs imposed by Trump under the law on managing emergencies to be illegal. The court's decision noted that the president had relied on this law while exceeding his authority.
After that, Trump stated that all tariffs would remain in force. He emphasized that these measures are aimed at protecting economic interests.
