In Bekobod, a daughter-in-law who killed her mother-in-law was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

In the city of Bekobod, Tashkent region, a court verdict was read against a daughter-in-law who stabbed her mother-in-law on March 14th, causing her death.

It is reported that the incident occurred in the autumn months of 2025. This was reported in the Miller program. The conflict between the 64-year-old mother-in-law and the 25-year-old daughter-in-law arose over the issue of organizing a cradle celebration. When they were left alone at home, the argument escalated, and as a result, the daughter-in-law stabbed her mother-in-law 14 times.

The daughter-in-law stated during the trial and investigation that she acted in self-defense. According to her, her mother-in-law had threatened her with a knife.

"My mother-in-law came in while I was sitting in my room. She said, 'Give me your phone. I'll call my son right now and tell him you cheated, and I'll have him divorce you.' I asked, 'What did I do?' She said, 'I will kill you anyway,' and tried to stab me in the stomach with a knife. I know that I grabbed her firmly, twisted my left hand, and stabbed her once in the back," she said in court.

The court panel found the daughter-in-law guilty of intentional murder and sentenced her to 10 years of imprisonment.
