Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development Jaslan Madiyev announced plans to expand regional internet connectivity through Starlink gateway stations located on the territory of Kazakhstan. This was reported this week by Zamon.uz.

At the same time, work on developing domestic infrastructure is continuing. By the end of this year, 1,900 villages will be connected to fiber-optic internet. Next year, it is planned to cover over 90% of rural areas with high-speed internet.

Furthermore, national highways will be provided with fiber-optic communication, and internet services will be gradually introduced on railway routes and local flights.

According to official data, by 2027, 5G coverage in 20 major cities will reach 60–75%. By that time, it is planned for internet coverage across the country to approach nearly 100%, with the average speed exceeding 100 megabits per second.
