It was previously reported that from February 1, the use of cars operated for more than 50 years in Uzbekistan would be restricted and such vehicles would be deregistered. According to information from the IIV MIB, antique cars are considered an exception to this restriction.
According to the government resolution, motor vehicles manufactured 50 or more years ago, which have preserved their original external appearance, construction, and main units, are recognized as antique automobiles.
For antique cars belonging to legal entities, state license plates of the ANT series types I, IA, IE, or IAE are introduced, while for those belonging to individuals, state license plates of the ANT series types III, IIIA, IIIE, or IIIAE are introduced.
To obtain state license plates for such vehicles, citizens must apply to the registration and examination departments of the territorial Road Traffic Safety Directorates.
