The activities of several buildings in Tashkent city have been temporarily suspended due to gross violations of fire safety requirements. This was reported by the Tashkent City Department of Emergency Situations.
On February 5, fire safety inspections were carried out at crowded facilities in the capital. Seven buildings located in the Mirzo Ulugbek, Chilanzar, Yakkasaray, Yangihayot, Yunusabad, and Yashnabad districts were closed until identified deficiencies are eliminated. Work to rectify these deficiencies at these facilities is currently ongoing.
We remind you that on January 31, a major fire occurred at the "Aviator" shopping complex in Yashnabad district, resulting in the death of a 3-year-old girl and damage covering an area of 800 square meters. Following this, the Ministry of Emergency Situations issued an appeal for strict control over compliance with fire safety requirements at all shopping and entertainment centers and service facilities.
