Amendments and additions have been introduced to certain normative legal documents by a government resolution. The Ministry of Justice reported on this.
According to it, admission to educational directions where a foreign language is designated as the first subject in the set of subjects will now be carried out on the basis of a national or internationally recognized certificate of at least B1 level proficiency in that foreign language.
Furthermore, in the admission process for directions that include a foreign language in their set of subjects, applicants with certificates will be awarded points in the following manner: — 75 percent of the maximum score established for that subject for a B1 level certificate; — the full maximum score for the subject will be awarded for B2 and higher level certificates.
For reference, previously, admission to these educational directions was carried out only if the applicant possessed a certificate of at least B2 level.
