The death toll from the powerful landslide that occurred in Indonesia's West Java province has reached 48 people. This was reported by the publication Zamon.uz.
The disaster occurred in Pasirlangu village, Sisaru sub-district, part of the West Bandung regency.
According to local police data, the identities of 30 of the bodies found so far have been established, and the deceased have been handed over to their relatives. Identification work for the remaining victims is ongoing at special centers.
Search and rescue operations have been ongoing continuously for several days. Rescuers are also using specially trained dogs to locate those trapped under the rubble. Officials stated that all available resources are being utilized and the search operations will continue.
