Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Olimjon Abdullayev held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan Alexey Yerokhov. This was reported by the Press Secretary of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Akhror Burkhanov.
According to him, the meeting discussed issues of protecting the rights and legitimate interests of Uzbek citizens working in Russia.
At the same time, attention was focused on preventing the undermining of human dignity of citizens in migration processes.
The meeting was attended by the Consuls General of Uzbekistan, heads of the consular department of the Russian diplomatic mission, and officials in charge of migration issues.
The parties noted the need to strengthen practical cooperation, hold bilateral meetings, and conduct regular consular consultations.
