The Iranian government declared three days of mourning in memory of those killed during the street protests on January 11.
Officials say that 38 people were killed among law enforcement officers.
The Iranian president called on citizens to participate in the national resistance march and to condemn the violence.
The protest demonstrations began at the end of December 2025 due to the devaluation of the national currency and rapid price increases.
So far, at least 538 people have been injured and over 10.6 thousand people have been arrested, while the internet has been shut down for several days.
