In Samarkand, 200 grams of nails and "self-tapping screws" were removed from the abdominal cavity of a 29-year-old citizen. This was reported by the Samarkand branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Aid.
It is noted that a 29-year-old citizen, A.E., was brought to the institution with severe pain in the abdominal area. According to diagnostics and laboratory tests conducted in the emergency department, a large number of foreign objects (nails and "self-tapping screws") were found in the patient's gastrointestinal tract.
An emergency surgical operation was performed on the patient using laparotomy and gastrostomy methods, and nails and other types of metal objects were removed from the abdominal cavity. Currently, the patient's condition is satisfactory.
It is said that the man was under severe stress and, unable to control his actions, swallowed these objects.
