After the conclusion of high-level talks between the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Paraguay, a tree planting ceremony was held at the Koksaroy residence on December 11.
According to the Presidential Press Service, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Santiago Peña jointly planted a sapling in the Alley of Honored Guests as a symbol of mutual friendship and long-term cooperation.
President of the Republic of Paraguay Santiago Peña arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit on December 11. He was welcomed at the "Tashkent-Humo" International Airport by government representatives. Following the official welcoming ceremony at Koksaroy, the Presidents held talks in both restricted and expanded formats and signed a Joint Statement.
Santiago Peña's visit is scheduled for December 11-13, and he is accompanied by his wife, Leticia Ocampos. During his trip, the Paraguayan leader is also set to participate in the General Assembly of the International Automobile Federation and the ceremony honoring the winners of competitions organized by the federation.
