Starting April 1, 2026, the use of cash for a number of payments will be completely prohibited in Uzbekistan. According to the rules, payments for state services, utility bills, purchases of alcohol and tobacco products, purchases at fuel stations, as well as for goods and services valued over 25 million soums will be carried out exclusively in electronic form.
Furthermore, the purchase of real estate, vehicles manufactured less than 10 years ago, and special equipment with cash will also be banned.
The new procedure aims to increase the transparency of payments and reduce cash circulation.
