New restrictions targeting women have been implemented in Afghanistan's Herat province. According to the decision by the provincial governor, Zana Wahid, women without a hijab are now reportedly not being allowed to enter hospitals, schools, or even taxis, Atlas Press reported.

Reports indicate that in recent days, women without hijabs have been observed being denied entry to the provincial hospital, prison, education department, banks, and UN offices. According to witnesses, even women wearing hijabs are sometimes not allowed to enter buildings and are forced to wait on the street for hours.

According to a source from "Kabul Now," the Taliban authorities have also instructed taxi drivers not to transport women without hijabs. Drivers who violate this order are being punished.

It should be noted that last year, the Taliban also closed a women's cafe in Herat without any clear reason, and recently, they banned university staff from using smartphones during working hours.
