An explosion occurred at a mosque in a school complex in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, during Friday prayers. The "Reuters" agency reported this, citing local police.
As a result of the explosion, 54 people were injured, with injuries ranging from mild to severe, and some were hospitalized with burns.
The city police chief, Asep Edi Suheri, stated that the cause of the explosion is currently under investigation.
Footage from the air shown by "KompasTV" and "MetroTV" channels showed police cordons and ambulances stationed at the scene. No major destruction was observed at the mosque.
