21-year-old Czech model Natalie Puskhinova was declared the absolute winner of the Miss World pageant held in Manila, the capital of the Philippines. Representatives from 79 countries participated in the contest.

In the special nominations, "Miss Air" was chosen from Iceland, "Miss Water" from Vietnam, and "Miss Fire" from Thailand.

Natalie Puskhinova currently lives near Prague and is studying "Marketing Communications and Public Relations" at Charles University.

The main goal of the contest is not only beauty, but also to raise ecological awareness and to prepare participants as ambassadors for environmental protection.
