The Russian government has supported a draft law on the deprivation of citizenship for individuals who evade military registration.

This proposal was developed by deputies of the "United Russia" party—Andrey Kartapolov, Andrey Krasov, Ernest Valeyev, and Vasily Piskarev.

This document creates the possibility to revoke the Russian passport of citizens who have evaded military obligations, specifically, those who evade registration. The draft law still needs to be reviewed by the parliament.

Analysts say such measures could be the next step in strengthening Russia's military conscription policy.
