A video spread on social networks showing kebabs being prepared from sparrow meat in one of the teahouses in Yangiyul district. The Ecology Department of the Tashkent region issued an official statement on the situation.

During the investigation, it was found that sparrow meat is not currently being used in the mentioned teahouse. The teahouse manager stated that the video was filmed earlier with the aim of increasing the number of customers and that such practices are not currently allowed.

Regarding the situation, a fine of 4 million 120 thousand soums was imposed on the teahouse manager based on Part 1 of Article 63 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility (illegal hunting).

He was also given a warning not to repeat such incidents.
