According to a NATO command order, two Eurofighter jets of the German Air Force were scrambled from the Rostock-Laage airbase.
They flew over the Baltic Sea and monitored a Russian Il-20 aircraft whose flight plan had not been submitted.
This is the tenth time since the beginning of this year that German aircraft have been scrambled in such an emergency.
The situation in the Baltic Sea remains tense — Russian aircraft continue to monitor the territorial activities of NATO countries, including Poland, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden.
