Cases of taking money with the promise of admission to study were recorded in Tashkent, Bukhara, and Piskent. In particular, the head of a non-state higher education institution branch in Ohangaron was caught taking $1,000 from each of four citizens, promising to place them in the 3rd course, and was apprehended while receiving the money.
In Bukhara, citizen A.I., having gained the trust of another individual, forged documents stating they had studied in Kyrgyzstan, promised to get them admitted to the Bukhara Innovation Medical Institute, and was caught while receiving $3,000.
In Piskent, two citizens were caught while receiving $2,000, having promised admission to the Tashkent State University of Economics.
Criminal cases have been initiated under the articles of the Criminal Code concerning fraud and bribery in relation to these incidents, and investigative actions have begun.
