The leader of Uzbekistan emphasized at a meeting with entrepreneurs that over the last eight years, 230 billion dollars have been invested in the economy, of which more than 120 billion are foreign investments.

According to the President, during this period, thousands of small business entities have grown into large enterprises, and the average monthly salary in the private sector has approached 5 million soums. It was noted that in the first half of this year, the economy grew by 7.2 percent.

The meeting, held in New Tashkent, is of symbolic importance, and the head of state stated that this city should become a center of innovation and investment for entrepreneurs.
