In Russia, as part of the fight against corruption, one of the largest property seizure cases in the history of the courts has taken place.

According to "Kommersant," the Moscow Regional Court satisfied the prosecutor's claim and ruled to confiscate assets worth 13 billion rubles from the former chairman of the Krasnodar Regional Court, Alexander Chernov, for the benefit of the state.

Based on the court's decision, the following were seized from Chernov and persons associated with him:

— 87 real estate properties (worth approximately 10 billion rubles),

— an agricultural company,

— 1.2 billion rubles in bank accounts.

According to the prosecutor's office, while holding the position of a judge, Chernov was secretly engaged in business and received large incomes through companies. This contradicts the status of a judge.

It is noted that this case is being assessed as a significant legal step in the fight against corruption in Russia.
