According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of negotiations, joint rapid measures, and information exchange conducted with law enforcement agencies of the United States of America and Turkey, as well as the National Central Bureaus of Interpol in these countries, a decision was made to deport wanted individuals from the country's territory.
As part of the operation, two individuals were brought to Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov from New York, accompanied by officers of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Two more citizens were deported from Istanbul and, upon arrival in Tashkent, were handed over to the relevant authorities for investigative actions.
According to the Ministry's information, these individuals were suspected of tax evasion, large-scale fraud, and other offenses, and had been placed on international wanted lists by law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan. The exact details of the individuals were not disclosed.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that international cooperation continues to identify wanted persons hiding abroad and return them to Uzbekistan.
