Over the past three years, more than 2 trillion soums have been allocated to the sector, 1,200 new pieces of equipment have been acquired, and nearly 200 cleaning and 290 recycling enterprises have commenced operations.

Although 14 million tons of household waste are generated annually, the recycling rate currently stands at only 5 percent.

Waste-to-energy projects are also being implemented—Chinese investors are building plants in 6 regions.

Additionally, measures have been outlined to monitor the arrival time of waste collection equipment in neighborhoods online and to enhance environmental awareness in schools and kindergartens.
