The incident occurred on August 2, 2025. Two children born in 2007, residents of the Khujaobod district of Andijan region, boarded a Cobalt car driven by citizen A.N. as passengers in Samarkand city with the intention of traveling to Namangan region. While the driver entered a restroom in the territory of Syrdarya region, they stole the car and fled.
After a pursuit plan was activated, an officer of the Internal Affairs Department attempted to stop them in the Buka district. However, they stabbed the officer and fled in his Matiz car, leaving the Cobalt behind.
All traffic police inspectors, traffic police stations, and checkpoints in the region were alerted, and efforts were made to determine the direction of the stolen vehicle using available cameras.
Later, while the suspects were moving through the Ohangaron district of Tashkent region, traffic police inspector Kh.D. signaled them to stop. However, they disobeyed the inspector's order, hit him with the car, and continued driving. The inspector sustained leg injuries and sought medical attention.
As a result of the rapid search operations conducted, the suspects were apprehended in the territory of Ohangaron city.
