A video circulating on social networks showed D.Z., who introduced herself as a defectologist-psychologist, attempting to treat children with speech impairments through scolding and intimidation. The Children's Ombudsman launched an investigation into this incident at the end of 2024 and January 2025.

A specially formed working group—comprising defectologists and speech therapists—determined that D.Z.'s methods lack scientific basis, harm children's health and upbringing, and contradict pedagogical norms.

Based on this, a request was sent to the prosecutor's office, and a criminal case was initiated.

However, after some time, it was discovered that D.Z. had resumed her activities, and on June 2, 2025, another request was submitted to the Prosecutor General's Office.

As a result, on June 25, the earlier decision to "close the case" was annulled, and the documents were sent for further investigation.

Starting from July 4, the criminal case against D.Z. was reopened, and investigative actions are currently ongoing.

The Children's Ombudsman continues to monitor this case. Additional information on the situation is expected to be provided.
