A man who stabbed his spouse and two-year-old daughter to death in the Uzbekistan district of Fergana region has been sentenced to 19 years in prison.

It has been reported that the crime occurred on November 3, 2025. A man with the surname Haitov, under the influence of alcohol, went to his father-in-law's house and, during a conflict that arose over child support issues, stabbed his wife multiple times.

After that, he also stabbed his daughter, born in 2023, with a knife. As a result, the child died at the scene, and the woman died while being taken to the hospital.

According to the court verdict, the defendant was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 97 of the Criminal Code and sentenced to 19 years in prison. He will serve his sentence in a general-regime colony.
