The city of Kherson in Ukraine has once again come under attack. According to the local prosecutor's office, the Russian army dropped an explosive device on a civilian vehicle using a drone. As a result, a 66-year-old driver was killed.

Additionally, six more attacks on the city resulted in a total of nine people being injured, one of whom—a female civilian—is in critical condition. This was reported by local authorities.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, another civilian was injured and is in moderately severe condition in the hospital. This was announced by the head of the regional military administration, Sergiy Lysak.

According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of July 8th, Russia attacked with four S-300/400 surface-to-air missiles and 54 Shahed kamikaze drones from the Kursk region. The drones were launched from Kursk, Oryol region, and the occupied territory of Crimea. The defense forces managed to shoot down 34 of these drones in the northern and southern regions.

We remind you that exactly one year ago, on July 8, 2024, Russia conducted a massive missile attack on the capital Kyiv, resulting in damage to the country's largest children's hospital, “Ohmatdyt”, two adults were killed, and 7 children were injured. That day, a total of 47 people lost their lives in the capital.
