Today, July 3rd, in the early morning, the Russian army carried out another major attack on the city of Odessa, located in the south of Ukraine, using drones. As a result of the attack, 4 civilians were killed, and several people were injured. This was officially announced by the Ukrainian State Emergency Service.
It is noted that one of the drones hit a 9-story residential building in the city. As a result, apartments from the 7th to the 9th floor caught fire. Consequently, a 7-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl received various degrees of bodily injuries.
"The children were poisoned with smoke. They were immediately taken to the hospital. Other victims also received the necessary medical care. Currently, their condition is stable," says Oleg Kiper, the head of the Odessa regional military administration.
Furthermore, 50 citizens were evacuated from the area where the fire occurred. The fire was extinguished by local services, and rescue operations are continuing.
We remind you that Russian troops regularly strike at Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure. In particular, on the night of June 17th of this year, the Russian Armed Forces attacked dozens of buildings in various districts of Kyiv, including residential buildings, educational institutions, and critical infrastructure.
Specifically, a missile hit a nine-story building in the Solomyanskyi district, causing the entire entrance to collapse. During the rescue operations, the bodies of 21 people were found under the rubble. On June 18th, a day of mourning was declared in Kyiv.
Amid the intensified attacks in recent days, analysts are noting that Russia's summer military strategy is becoming increasingly aggressive.
