Thousands of unguaranteed quality medicines and medical items were withdrawn from circulation in the Tashkent region. This was reported to Darakchi.uz by a source from the State Security Service.
It was reported that a special operation conducted in the Zangiota district in collaboration with the State Security Service’s Tashkent regional department and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes resulted in the arrest of an individual born in 1996, residing in the city of Tashkent.
He was caught selling without quality assurance and legal circulation documents:
— 9500 units of “MenAVazin”
— 1300 units of “Glycerin”
— 2000 units of “Metralin” medicines,
— and 56,880 units of infusion system medical items for 9700 US dollars and 2 million 550 thousand UZS at the time of sale.
The investigation revealed that the “Glycerin” liquid was handmade and poured into containers.
According to the conclusion of the “Pharmaceutical Products Safety” State Center, the sale, transportation, and use of these medicines and items are strictly prohibited.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 186 prime 3-section 2 subparagraph “a” of the Criminal Code concerning this case. A pre-trial detention measure has been applied to the suspect.
Currently, the investigation is ongoing.
