More than 10 important documents were signed between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

The two countries plan to increase the volume of trade exchange to 1 billion dollars.

At the conclusion of the meeting between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Ilham Aliyev, a series of documents covering areas such as alliance, education, agriculture, and industry were signed. Plans are in place to reach a trade turnover of $1 billion.

On July 2nd, Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, at the "Zagulba" residence in a small circle. The heads of state also held the second meeting of the Supreme Inter-State Council.

The meeting discussed important issues such as strengthening strategic partnership, increasing investment volume, and expanding transport-logistics projects. It was also noted that an electronic permit system for freight transportations has been introduced since March.

At the conclusion of the negotiations, the following documents were signed between the two countries:

— A "roadmap" for implementing alliance relations for 2025–2029;

— Intergovernmental agreements in the fields of environmental protection, higher and vocational education, agriculture, and social protection;

— An industrial cooperation program planned for the years 2025–2026;

— A program to increase trade turnover to $1 billion by 2030;

— Agreements to establish fraternal relations between Navoi–Gabala, and Tashkent region–Sumgait cities.

The parties agreed to expand the activities of the joint investment company, hold business forums, and deepen cooperation in the "Middle Corridor".
