The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, attended the opening ceremony of the headquarters of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in the city of Astana. He emphasized the necessity of upholding the rule of law.

During the solemn ceremony, President Tokayev unveiled a commemorative plaque and the organization’s flag was raised. He congratulated diplomats on their professional holiday, reminding them that Kazakhstan was the initiator of the CICA 30 years ago.

One of Tokayev's key statements was: “Today, force is often placed above the principles of law. In such conditions, it is imperative for all states to strictly adhere to the UN Charter and international legal norms”.

He also stressed the importance of having the principles of “Law and Order” firmly established in the country.

The President, touching upon digital transformation, stated: “We want to transform Kazakhstan into a digital state based on artificial intelligence”.

He highlighted that in the context of current global threats, maintaining an atmosphere of open dialogue and trust is the key to regional stability.
