It has been revealed that in Nukus city of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, money was taken from more than 100 teachers for accreditation, phones were allowed into the examinations, and the bribe money was divided. The State Security Service informed “Darakchi.uz” about this.
As noted, a general education school teacher in Nukus city was caught by the State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs officials with material evidence while taking 1000 US dollars from a colleague working in Chimbay district in exchange for passing a professional certificate examination, following the instructions of the school’s deputy director.
The pre-investigation check revealed that the deputy director had collected bribes ranging from 1000–1500 dollars from more than 100 teachers and recorded these transactions in a personal notebook.
Additionally, the head methodologist of the Department for Organizing the Assessment of Teachers’ Knowledge and Skills of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Karakalpakstan turned out to be involved in the case. He voluntarily surrendered the collected 10,450 dollars in exchange for “assistance” in the state certification.
In this process, it was identified that a National Guard employee allowed teachers to enter the test with their phones without personal inspection, demonstrating negligence towards his duties.
The money obtained through bribery was divided among individuals.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 210 Part 2 Clause “g” of the Criminal Code regarding this situation, and investigative measures are being conducted.
