Tesla and SpaceX leader, former head of DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) Elon Musk expressed regret over his comments about US President Donald Trump.

"I regret some of my posts last week about US President Donald Trump. They went too far," — wrote Musk on X social network.

The billionaire did not specify which posts he was referring to.

In recent days, he also reposted tweets supporting Trump's immigration policy amid protests in Los Angeles.

Trump has not yet responded to Musk's apologies.

Musk and Trump openly clashed last week after the businessman criticized the "Big Beautiful Bill" passing through Congress. The bill includes tax breaks and was a promise during Trump's election campaign.

Musk said that without his support, Trump could not have won the presidential elections and accused him of ingratitude. Moreover, according to him, Trump participated in undisclosed files related to the "Epstein files" — accusing financier Jeffrey Epstein (who committed suicide in prison in 2019) of violence against minors and involving them in prostitution. Musk later deleted this post.

In response, Trump threatened to deprive the billionaire's company of government contracts.

  • Musk openly supported Trump's candidacy, actively participated in his election campaign, and financed it. The entrepreneur spent more than 290 million dollars in the 2024 elections to support Trump for US president and the Republicans for Congress.
