According to information from the Afghan side, due to the upcoming repair process at the Salang Pass, the movement of large freight vehicles through the pass will be temporarily suspended starting from tomorrow, June 10th. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Carriers planning to carry out international freight shipments through this route are requested to take this aspect into consideration.
The Ministry of Transport has recommended carrying out freight shipments to Pakistan and Pakistani ports through alternative transport routes.
