The number of people killed in a gas explosion in one of the houses in Samarkand has reached 7. This was reported in the “Nations” program informed.
In one of the houses located in the “Bog'isaroy” mahalla (neighborhood committee), Spitamen street, in the city of Samarkand, a gas explosion occurred overnight from May 8 to May 9 had occurred. As a result of the explosion, the kinetic impact caused the collapse of the reinforced concrete structures of the house, damaging the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors as well as the basement part. There was no fire.
Fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene and began to deal with the consequences of the accident. As a result of the actions taken, the bodies of initially 6 citizens were found under the rubble. According to the “Nations” program, on May 9, a seventh body was also recovered from under the debris of the house.
Preliminary investigative investigations are currently being conducted regarding the situation.
