Yesterday, a passenger plane from Turkestan city of Kazakhstan landed at Samarkand International Airport.
Kazakhstan's "QAZAQ AIR" airline's flight connects the cities of Astana, Turkestan, and Samarkand.
Regular passenger flights are carried out twice a week — on Thursdays and Sundays.
An event was organized on the occasion of the first flight's arrival, attended by the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the city of Samarkand and officials from the Samarkand regional administration.
