The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on April 3rd within the framework of the summit in the city of Samarkand.

The urgent issues of further developing and strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance relationships between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan were discussed, taking into account the agreements reached during the recent informal meeting of the two states' leaders in Almaty.

The importance of coordinated actions by the governments of the two countries was emphasized to increase trade turnover, and to advance economic projects and humanitarian programs, including at the regional level.

It was agreed to accelerate the process of launching the International Industrial Cooperation Center.

Furthermore, discussions were held on the regional agenda and the schedule of high-level events was reviewed.
