US President Donald Trump's team members have organized talks with representatives of Yulia Tymoshenko and Petro Poroshenko's parties. Politico is writing about this.

"The main topics of discussion were the possibility of holding early presidential elections in Ukraine and the political situation in the country. Trump's aides believe that due to Ukrainians being tired of the war and unhappy with corruption, Zelensky could lose the election," the newspaper writes.

According to information, four senior advisors of US President Donald Trump conducted secret negotiations with the main political rivals of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Among them were the former Prime Minister and opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko and members of the party of former President Petro Poroshenko.

The possibility of holding snap presidential elections in Ukraine was discussed during the negotiations. At the moment, elections are being postponed due to the imposition of martial law in the country, according to the constitution. Critics suggest that under such conditions, elections could lead to chaos and benefit Russia since many voters are serving at the front or living abroad as refugees.

Trump's advisors consider the possibility of Zelensky losing the election to be high, associating it with public dissatisfaction with the war and corruption. Indeed, Zelensky's ratings have been declining in recent years. However, Zelensky's reputation has risen again after recent events related to Trump.

US and European Union diplomats are trying to persuade Zelensky to start peace negotiations with Russia. These negotiations could involve ceding part of Ukraine's territory to Russia. However, Zelensky is refusing to accept such terms.

US and Russian leaders are calling for Zelensky to resign, which has activated his opposition. Supporters of Tymoshenko and Poroshenko are intensifying their criticism of Zelensky's administration. A member of Poroshenko's party said, "We are in regular contact with our friends in the US to discuss the political situation in Ukraine."

Some US politicians are blaming Zelensky for prolonging the war. Senator JD Vance criticized, "Zelensky is not making enough effort to achieve peace," which is reducing trust in the US in Ukraine.

Zelensky, however, is emphasizing his continued fight to preserve Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. His supporters criticize the pressure from the Trump administration and view it as interference in Ukraine's internal affairs.

This situation could exacerbate political instability in Ukraine and affect future peace negotiations. The international community is closely monitoring the situation in Ukraine.
