“On additional measures for the development of hockey sport” President's Decree (PQ-334, dated 23.09.2024) has been adopted, reports the Ministry of Justice.
Accordingly, creating a sports reserve for national teams and sports clubs in hockey, and implementing a digitized system for the selection (selection) of talented athletes has been designated as one of the main directions for the development of hockey sport.
Starting from the year 2025 annually:
- seminar-trainings involving international organizations and foreign experts in hockey, as well as scientific-practical conferences, will be held;
- measures will be taken to organize internships for students of the bachelor’s degree program “Sport Activity” (hockey) at the sports bases of hockey clubs.
The profit tax for the Uzbekistan Hockey Federation, sports clubs, and non-state sports education organizations in hockey will be reduced by 50 percent for a period of three years.
The amounts of sponsorship and charitable donations directed by legal entities for financing the activities of the Uzbekistan Hockey Federation, sports clubs, and non-state sports education organizations in hockey will be deducted from the taxable base when calculating the profit tax.
