Uzbek grandmaster Javokhir Sindarov finished in 8th place in the rapid section of the Super Rapid & Blitz Poland tournament taking place in Poland.
After an unlucky second day, the Uzbek chess player recovered on the third day of play. Sindarov scored 4 points out of 6 games, defeating Vladimir Fedoseev. He also drew with world-class chess players Fabiano Caruana and Alireza Firouzja.
Chess.com rated Sindarov's game against Fedoseev as one of the most brilliant contests of the tournament. The Uzbek grandmaster did not avoid complex situations, played in an aggressive style, and ultimately achieved victory.
Also, after 9 rounds, Sindarov accumulated 8 points. American Hans Niemann remains the tournament leader. Over the next two days, participants will compete in 18 blitz games.
