Vladimir Zelensky accused Russia of choosing an "Easter escalation" instead of opening a crossing.

He spoke about this after Russia carried out another large-scale drone and missile attack against Ukraine.

It is noted that Russia launched hundreds of drones and missiles across the country. As a result, six civilians were killed and 40 people were injured.

Recently, the number of large-scale daytime attacks, which were previously rare, has been increasing.

This situation is unfolding in conditions where efforts aimed at stopping the war have slowed down, at a time when Donald Trump and his team have focused their attention on the conflict in the Middle East.

At the same time, citing British intelligence data, Zelenskyy emphasized that the situation on the eastern front line has reached the "most favorable" level for Ukraine in the last 10 months. According to him, the advance of Russian troops has slowed down.

Nevertheless, the attacks have not stopped.

In the Zhytomyr region, located west of Kyiv, rescuers were forced to search for survivors under the rubble of destroyed houses. In some places, entire houses were destroyed.

In the Kyiv region, it was reported that a drone flew towards a multi-story building, hit near it, and a fire broke out.

In the city of Kharkiv, one woman was killed and several more people were seriously injured. The city mayor described these attacks as "one of the largest in recent times."

Zelenskyy assessed these attacks as Russia's response to the temporary peace proposal on the occasion of the holiday. Orthodox Christians in Ukraine and Russia celebrate Easter during the recent days of rest.

"The Russians have intensified their strikes again, choosing an Easter escalation instead of calm in the sky," he wrote on social media.
