Iran's new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, survived the airstrikes carried out by the US and Israel. Zamon.uz reported this based on an audio recording made during the attack.

It is reported that on February 28, Mojtaba Khamenei was with his father, Ali Khamenei, at a complex in Tehran. However, shortly before the strikes were launched, he went out into the courtyard and was not in the building at the time of the attack.

As a result of the attack, Ali Khamenei, as well as a number of high-ranking officials belonging to Iran's security system, were killed. Among them were said to be the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Mohammad Pakpour, and Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh.

The Telegraph reported the existence of an audio recording of a speech by Mazahir Hosseini, the head of the protocol service of the office of Iran's former leader, to high-ranking clerics and commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

"By the will of God, Mojtaba went out into the courtyard and it so happened that he was doing something. While Mojtaba was outside, the enemy struck the building with a missile," the audio recording says.

According to Hosseini's words, Mojtaba Khamenei sustained minor injuries to his leg as a result of the strike. He emphasized that several objects in the complex were struck simultaneously and that the attack was aimed at completely eliminating the Khamenei family.

This audio recording spread at a time when questions about Khamenei's health and ability to govern the country were increasing. US President Donald Trump, however, stated that his being alive or dead was unknown.

Some Iranian officials, however, reported that there is no precise information available regarding the condition of the supreme leader.
